Not Dunne Yet: Gymnast & TikToker 'Livvy Dunne' Announces That She's Staying at LSU

Fear not Tiger fans, Livvy Dunne is not ready to ditch the purple and gold leotard just yet. The social media star and talented gymnast announced that she is returning to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for her fifth year of eligibility!

She announced this on Monday via an Instagram post which showed a montage of some of her best moments playing for the LSU Tigers. The post was captioned with the pun “not Dunne yet,” and was narrated by Livvy herself who said the following:

“Dear LSU, these past four years have changed my life. There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There’s something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming Tiger fans. There’s something about being pushed by your coaches to be your very best, and there’s something about being part of a team that made school history. No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU. That’s why I’m here to say I’m not done yet.”

Dunne’s return to the team is highly anticipated as she previously helped the Tigers to secure the national championship by defeating California, Utah, and Florida in the finals. Her incredible athletic ability and growing social media presence have also made her a memorable member of the team, with many expressing their support for her on and off the training mat.

With a combined 13.3 million followers across TikTok and Instagram and over 163,000 likes on her announcement post, Livvy has definitely found her footing as a social media star. This can be seen through her many brand endorsements, promotional events, and magazine covers. Just this February, she announced that she was the face of Nautica’s 2024 Spring Collection as she posed for promotional photos on her Instagram account.

Livvy’s social media presence made many fans wonder what she planned to do with her future after her fourth year was complete. The speculation has persisted for several months but, it was only Monday, that she confirmed her plans for the immediate future. Many were delighted with the news and left their views in the comments; one comment simply read “Real athletes do 5 years, congrats 🔥,’ while another read “I AM GOING TO EVERY LSU MEET.”

It seems that Dunne’s news was well-received and I’m very excited to see what she has planned next.
